I see we are getting new members who are musicians and this is wonderful. Thank you all so much for supporting our little community and coming together to promote Zydeco music and the Creole culture. Zydeco Music is a world-wide sensation. Fans love Zydeco because it is a strong root music that just makes you want to dance. The more you dance, the more you need to drink, which leads to more dancing.



The term Zydeco comes from a slang pronunciation of the French term of snap bean (or green beans). The French name is ‘les haricots’ and sounds like la-zah-ri-coe if you say if fast. Where did it come from. It depends on who you ask. :)
